Green People is an organic skin care brand and a charity partner of Ehlers-Danlos Support UK (EDS UK). Will you help us to raise £1,000 for the lifeline support that EDS UK offer to those living with EDS?

WHY WE’RE FUNDRAISING FOR EDS UK?

Ehlers Danlos Syndrome (EDS) is the name given to a group of thirteen conditions which affect the body’s connective tissue. Some of the many symptoms of EDS include: stretchy, fragile skin, extreme fatigue, chronic pain, joint hypermobility, easy bruising and digestive problems. Often those with EDS live with undiagnosed symptoms for years, unable to access appropriate medical services and care. The charity EDS UK exists to change this and aims to make diagnosis, treatment and management accessible to everyone when they need it.

We started working with EDS UK in 2020 after our founder’s daughter, Alexandra Kay, was diagnosed with Ehlers Danlos. Alexandra Kay  was passionate about helping others and raised funds and awareness for EDS UK through sales of her Alexandra Kay wellbeing brand. Find out more about Alexandra Kay’s mission here.

Sadly, Alexandra passed away suddenly in 2021 aged just 28. In her memory, Green People honours her wishes of helping others by raising donations that are used to fund the EDS UK phone lines.

DONATE TO OUR DAZZLE WALK

On 18th May we’ll be dressing up in zebras fancy-dress and completing a fundraising walk for EDS UK our hometown of Horsham.

Beginning our route at the Green People shop, our fundraising walk will take us around Denne Hill in Horsham. Dressed as a dazzle, the term for a collective of Zebra, we are hoping to raise much-needed funds for the incredible work that EDS UK does to support those living with Ehlers-Danlos syndrome.

With EDS being a cause very close to the heart of Green People, we would be incredibly grateful for any donations which help to support this lifeline charity and their vitally important work.
