We know the biggest impact of Covid on our children has been in the development of speech and language and reading skills. In addition due to the constraints of space the school no longer has a central library and due to its location the current ICT suite is inaccessible to many of our pupils. In order to address this and stay committed to fostering a love of reading the school have sourced an exciting and innovative design that will house both a Library & ICT suite.

Introducing.....THE HOBBIT HOUSE

This will be situated in the raised area outside of the year 4/5 entrance. Similar to the design above the only visible section will be the entrance, behind the 'Hobbit' door will be a magical space where children can immerse themselves in quality texts and engage with an accessible IT suite. We really believe this will truly enhance the learning experience for all the children at Greave.

In order to make this possible we will need to dedicate our BEST fundraising efforts over the next year....WE CAN DO IT!

The Frogs Team together with Greave Primary School will be holding events over the next 12 months to raise funds towards our ongoing fundraising.

On the 30th June 2022 a team of staff and governors will tackle a sunset walk to Kinder Scout.  The team will reach a height of 624m on the western flank of Kinder in time to watch the sunset.  The walk will really test those taking part as the walk back will be in the dark!
