Completed this event at 6Hrs 26 Minutes 44 Secs - but who's counting ! it was tough !

My Father suffered a stroke resulting in him requiring a wheelchair and 24hr care home attention. Fortunately I am blessed with being able to chat, joke and laugh with him - many are not so fortunate. It has been difficult for my Mother too and the rest of the family but it's great to see my Fathers' face when my 6yr old nephew visits - LIFE GOES ON !

Stroke is a medical emergency. By calling 999 you can help someone reach hospital quickly and receive the early treatment they need.

Ambulance crews use FAST and with hospital staff can act fast to identify and diagnose a stroke quickly.

F—Facial weakness. Can the person smile? Has their mouth or eye drooped?
A—Arm weakness. Can the person raise both arms?
S—Speech problems. Can the person speak clearly and understand what you say?
T—Time to call 999
