Story
In 2021, my Mum, Louise, was diagnosed with myelodysplasia, a type of blood cancer, for which she received a stem cell transplant with help from the amazing Anthony Nolan Charity. A donor was found and the transplant went well, starting the path to recovery and giving her a second chance at life. Sadly, a later diagnosis of ovarian cancer in Spring 2022 meant Louise passed away in March earlier this year, but we are forever grateful for the extra time that the stem cell transplant gave us as a family. Raising funds for Anthony Nolan means more lives with blood cancer and disorders can be saved through matching donors, scientific research and funding specialist transplant nurses. Thank you for reading, any donations or shares will be greatly appreciated and me and Rianne look forward to the run! Much love x
