I am running in the Great Manchester Run because my fantastic Grandma suffered from the horrible disease that is dementia. I'd like to help by raising money towards the work the Alzheimer's Society does on a daily basis. There may not be a cure yet, but they're helping to create a society where those affected by dementia are supported and are able to live in their community without fear or prejudice.
