Story
This year I have set myself the challenge to complete the Great North Run. Having never been much of a runner I have a huge mountain of training to climb but I am determined to get to the finish line.
Why this year? and why Prostate Cancer UK? Because at the end of last year my dad was diagnosed with a high-grade Prostate Cancer. This news rocked our world, but Prostate Cancer UK were a great source of information and support to our family at this time and I want others to be able to access this valuable source when they need it.
The challenges I may face in my training are nothing compared to the challenges my dad faces in the year ahead with Chemotherapy, Radiotherapy and whatever else his diagnosis and treatment may throw at him.
Any donation you can make will mean so much to me and Prostate Cancer UK. It will go towards not only providing support for families like mine when they are in the same situation but will also fund future research that will raise awareness and stop men dying from Prostate Cancer.
Thanks xx
