We are Land Rover owners and we enjoy using them for what they are designed for - off road driving. Our main philosophy is Responsible Rural Recreation and we have a vast local knowledge of byways and Unclassified County Roads (UCRs), which we back up with OS maps and GPS systems to ensure we are always driving legally and do not trespass.

In October 2008 a very successful trip was organised via Landyzone (a Land Rover owner’s internet forum) for 4x4 vehicles which entailed travelling across Dorset using local byways and UCRs and ending with fish and chips in West Bay, hence it was known as The Chippie Run.

Several participants of this trip have been “hassling” us to organise another Chippie Run. We have agreed to plan and run another trip in October this year, but decided this time the trip will be run in aid of charity.

We currently have space for a maximum of 60 vehicles and each vehicle is required to make a £25 donation to participate. Before making your donation please contact BOOMER on landyzone.co.uk to ensure there is space on the trip and to have your name added to the list, as once a donation is made there will be no refund.
