Help us raise £750,000 to help fund lifesaving kit for our crews

Story

Crew, family and friends of Gravesend Lifeboat Station are walking 10 miles from Upnor to Gravesend on the 13th May.  This is to raise money for the RNLI and this year's Mayday Campaign 'do your bit, fund our kit!'

Our crews battle the harshest conditions at sea when selflessly going to the aid of others in distress. Having the right kit can make the crucial difference between life and death for them and the people they save.

The RNLI is a charity - 95% of our total income is from donations, we are separate from the coastguard and independent of government so we couldn't do what we do without the generosity and support of people like you. Every single penny raised will make a difference. Together we can save more lives at sea.

RNLI volunteer lifeboat crews provide a 24-hour search and rescue service all around the UK and Ireland, while lifeguards keep a careful watch on the UK’s busiest beaches. RNLI lifesaving and drowning prevention depend on supporter fundraising and the generous donations that you and others give.
