Howdy!
Thank you for visiting my Just Giving Page. It means a lot! :)
On Saturday 1st July 2023, I will be challenging myself to the BHF’s Bournemouth Pier to Pier 1.4m (2.25Km) Swim.
I am raising money for the British Heart Foundation, and I would be grateful for your support. The BHF has helped halve the number of people dying from heart and circulatory disease within the UK. But sadly, everyday hundreds of people still lose their lives.
In the past few years, I have seen friends and family suffer from heart and circulatory disease. It’s been horrible. But if wasn’t for the British Heart Foundation, and their years of continued research, they wouldn’t have the opportunities they have now. Which is brilliant. But as a bystander, as a friend: I felt powerless. As all you can do is support in the best way you can and just ‘hope that they will be okay’.
I am challenging myself to this event, because: Hope is a powerful thing. By raising money, by raising awareness: I hope to inspire, I hope change someone’s life for the absolute better, I hope with your help and the BHF, that one day we can rid this planet from cardiovascular disease. But to do that, we must challenge ourselves.
It is only thanks to support from people like you, that we can make a change, to create new treatments and discover new cures. £24 for example: could pay for two hours of research by an early career scientist, but every pound helps, so please give what you can.
It is a fantastic cause, so please do help change a life: by donating, supporting, and sharing this and other pages, as much as you can!
