Thank you for visiting this fundraising page.
**** Post Race Update ****
We went, we saw and we kicked ass! This year Granny Knot and the team not only made it around the island but did so in the amazing time of 9 hours and 47 minutes - coming 21st in her division (61 boats) and a shade over 330th overall. We have also bust our fundraising target wide open - which is the most amazing news of all. Thankyou everybody!
If you'd like to contribute still - please do - this site will remain active until September and the Motor Neurone Disease Association need every penny we can give them!
******************************
MND is a crippling and ultimately deadly disease and the MND Association (http://www.mndassociation.org/) are key in both supporting sufferers and their families as well as funding research into finding a cure.
The Round the Island Race (http://www.roundtheisland.org.uk/) is probably the biggest yachting spectacle in the world - over 1600 yachts gather annually to race each other around the Isle of Wight.
Our plan is to complete the race whilst raising lots of lovely cash for the fab people at the MND Association. Last year we got as far as Hurst Point before light winds and tides defeated us. This year - who knows? The race will be held on June 23 - help us to make this a great day for thousands of people affected by this disease.
Please dig deep and sponsor us online.
Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor us: The Motor Neurone Disease Association will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.
So please sponsor us now!
Many thanks for your support.
