My good friend Kate Thurston and I are running the Great North Run for Wirral MNDA as it has been integral in providing support and guidance to my friend and her family, helping them and their children gain the support and knowledge to deal with this disease. 

They have all individually been affected by this, and is not a disease that is  publicised enough so that we are all aware of it’s affects to people and their families. 

My friends family is so strong and positive and more following this diagnosis. In turn we want to show our support to the Wirral association who have continued to help them and provide information to help the adults as well as their children deal with this. It’s not just their family but others they want to support and will always be forever grateful to this specific team that have given them the guidance that others seek but don’t know where to turn to.
