UPDATE 23rd Sep 2008. I go in to hospital on Thur for an operation on my knee that will put me out of action for weeks/months. I have spoken to the physio at the hospital and asked if I can do the run on crutches and she has advised me not to attempt it. So I'm sad to say I wont be taking part in the GGreat South run.
UPDATE: 31st July 2008. While in training for my run I have damaged my left knee. I have had an MRI scan on it but now have to have another x-ray. It looks like I will be out of action for a few months. I may even be trying the Great South Run on crutches. I will up-date this page when I know what the docs want to do with me. But please keep giving as much as you can.
10 mile may not sound a lot to some of you... But please remember I am a 15 stone diabetic who has had 2 operations on my dodgy left knee and have done no sport for about 15 years, so I am coming from a fitness level of zero.
Why Cancer Research? The facts say it all. One in three of us will get cancer at some point in our lives ! I have lost my Dad and a dear friend to it. So please give what you can.
Thanks a lot, Love Graham X X X
