When I was younger my uncle died from Bowel Cancer and last year another person very close to me was diagnosed, fortunately the cancer was found early and through an operation and very long months in recovery this person is now back to herself and cancer free.

The work of charities such as Beating Bowel Cancer is very important. Did you know that bowel cancer is the UK's second biggest cause of cancer deaths. Around 1 in 18 people will get bowel cancer and, of the 100 people diagnosed every day, almost half will die of the disease. Yet, in over 90% of cases, bowel cancer could be treated successfully if diagnosed early, which is why raising awareness is so important.

So we've planned our own route to cycle 920 miles from Lands End to John O'Groats in 9 days. We would very much appreciate any sponsorship donations you are able to generously give. Many thanks.
