Story
We are two not very fit old blokes trying on 2 August to cycle 100 miles from the Olympic Park in Stratford out to the Surrrey Hills and back to The Mall along the 2012 Olympic cycle route.
We are doing the Prudential 100 to raise money for Centrepoint, which is a fantastic charity that tries to give homeless young people in the UK a future. Please take a few moments to click on the link over on the right to go to Centrepoint's website where you can read about some of the amazing work the charity does helping young people get their lives back on track. If nothing else, watch the video in the gallery below for just one youngster's story.
We are also doing this ride in memory of a great friend of ours, Keith Hearn, who sadly passed away recently after a short but brutal battle with mental illness. It was Keith's idea to do the Prudential 100 and it is very sad that he will not be riding with us. Mental health problems are one of the factors that lead young people into becoming homeless. Centrepoint aims to do everything it can to get the young people in its care fully fit both physically and mentally. So if you are able to support us, you will be helping to ensure that the health needs of some of Centrepoint's youngsters can be met (and hopefully putting a smile on Keith's face somewhere up above us).
