Story

Thank you for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.
The Great River Race is to be the first official event as part of Certeco's Charity Challenge. We have two boats participating in this 'River Marathon', that's a total of 22 Certeco people putting themselves through a gruelling 21 miles of rowing from London Docklands to Richmond.
Our fundraising participants have varying levels of fitness ranging from true couch potatoes to hardened sports fanatics, but whatever their levels of fitness they have signed up to this fabulous event to raise awareness of MAG and as much money as possible.
There shall undoubtedly be a lot of blood, sweat and tears in the run up to the event with a hearty training regime being implemented; those couch potatoes need all the help they can get!
With entries now well over 300 boats carrying approx. 2,400 competitors racing for 35 trophies, The Great River Race has become the biggest and most prestigious event of its kind in Europe, we here at Certeco will need your help too. We need your support, encouragement and sponsorship, and for you to spread the word of our endeavours to attempt to cross the finish line of this fabulous race with its intriguing mix of colour, spectacle, intense competition and casual fun.
Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails.
So please dig deep and donate now.
We thank you for your support.

About the charity

Every single day, 13 people are killed or injured because of landmines and other explosive weapons. Half of all civilian casualties are children. MAG finds and destroys these weapons to save lives and rebuild futures; helping people to grow crops, attend school and build homes.
