Story
This year I have decided to run the 2022 London Marathon in aid of Allzheimers Research UK, who carry out vital dementia research.
I am aiming to raise £2,000 which will help fund vital research to develop diagnostics, treatments and preventions to help people with dementia. For more information on Alzheimers Research UK go to alzheimersresearchuk.org
This year marks my 60th birthday and the last time I attempted a full marathon was over 40 years ago. In the last few years I have started to run more regularly and have completed a couple of half marathons. I will be posting regular updates in regard to my training progress. Please feel free to contact me to see how I am getting on and how the old knees are holding up.
I am dedicating this marathon to my fantastic Mum and Dad who, after nearly 70 years of love and devotion to each other, have been split apart by this dreadful disease. They are my heroes!
Thank you so much for your support and donations, it really does mean so much.
