Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Imagine retiring from the Fire Service after a dedicated career only to be told you have aggressive prostate cancer. This happened to my best friend and legend a few months ago. Since then hundreds of his friends and colleagues have done fund raising events for Prostate Cancer UK and I thought I would do something to hopefully boost the funds! This running JOG-LE attempt is personally funded so every penny donated will go to Prostate Cancer UK.

Beginning on Aug 4th and finishing hopefully on Aug 29th, it is nearly 900 miles, over 26 days, running an ultra marathon of between 28 and 47 miles per day stopping at  B & B's overnight. Please be as generous as you can, with a man dying every 45mins from this cancer we need to help find a cure!

I now have a Wordpress blog page if you wish to follow my progress at https://www.facebook.com/Run-John-OGroats-Lands-End-for-Prostate-cancer-UK-104608891119258/?modal=admin_todo_tour

Thank you.
