In memory of
Grahame Sanderson
21st March 1951 - 16th June 2020
Thank you for visiting our page, set up in memory of Grahame Sanderson.
Grahame was a resident at Broome Park Nursing Home for over 5 years. Broome Park specialises in caring for residents with Dementia as well as other debilitating and challenging illnesses. The care and support that the staff provided Grahame, and his wife Joyce, was wonderful and made Broome Park feel like home for Grahame.
The Friends of Broome Park is a registered charity whose sole purpose is to raise funds for the Nursing Home. The charity provides excellent support, activities and items for the residents with the aim of enhancing their lives. Previously raised funds have been used to pay for entertainers to visit the Home, gifts for the residents at Christmas and the purchase of an additional minibus to enable more resident outings. Also, it was the money raised through the Friends of Broome Park that funded the building of a path in the grounds. The path ends at Grahame's benches which were bought with the money kindly raised by the BT Tower Guys.
Any money raised will be put towards the purchase of equipment and games designed for people with mid to late stage dementia. These games stimulate activity - physical, mental and social and will make a great difference to the wellbeing of many residents at Broome Park, both now and in the future.
All donations are greatly appreciated.
Many thanks
Joyce, Richard & Philip
