Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

On 5th October, I'm attempting to run the 55@55. That's 55 Lakeland Peaks, around 75miles, nearly 30,000ft of climbing and descending, all within 24hrs -  a full Bob Graham Round with an extra 13 peaks added for good measure, one for every year of my life. Only three other people have achieved this within 24hrs and the record of 23.27 is more than twenty years old.

I'll be keeping my fingers crossed for a suitable weather window, then I'll set off on a solo running journey from Moot Hall in Keswick, with support from Claire and Ash at the road crossings.

I’m running to raise funds for Cancer Care, North Lancashire and South Lakeland, as they helped my friend Jane Reedy through her recent, successful year long battle with cancer. This is my way to celebrate the gift of life, Jane’s and my own 55 years at the same time!

Win a FREE 2018 Lakeland Trails Season Ticket worth £180! Simply make a donation and guess my finishing time - the closest will be the winner.
