We did it! The Tower-2-Tower Challenge ... from Paris to Blackpool ... almost 500 miles from the Eiffel Tower to Blackpool Tower. Thank you for all your messages of support and donations.
The published total on this page includes the Just Giving donations as well as cheques and "text-to-donate" totals.
On Friday, 1 October, I set off from the Eiffel Tower in Paris to cycle nearly 500 miles to Blackpool Tower in Lancashire. It was tough, it hurt, but your support kept me going!
BBC Children in Need makes a positive change to the lives of disadvantaged children and young people in Lancashire. I've visted many groups who have been helped by the charity and I know the money you give will really make a difference and allow many young people to realise their potential.
The photographs and interactive map can be found at bbc.co.uk/lancashire ... and you can see more photos, videos and leave a message at our facebook site - facebook.com/bbclancashire. Keep tuning to BBC Radio Lancashire from 06.00 to listen to me on the breakfast show - 95.5, 103.9 and 104.5 FM ...
Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
So please dig deep and donate now ... and please help the children in need.
