Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I'm Graham, and in September I became the Chief Exec of Age UK Lambeth.  I am also a real bah humbug kinda guy! 

At our AGM I was approached by an older person who said they would be spending Christmas Day on their own and were we doing anything.  

I was a wee bit ashamed to say that we weren't. As an organisation that wants to do its bit to reduce loneliness, that moment did not feel good. 

So  I made an executive decision and said that, Yes.. we were. We were going to offer lunch to about 40 older folk who would otherwise be on their own at our Vida Walsh centre in Brixton. 

Great idea. 

Then I realised that I had committed myself to doing it! Fortunately, I have found others who think it is a great idea too. So, we really are going for it. 

But... we need your help... 

1. We need a few volunteers to help us in the kitchen (we've found a cook..phew!), picking up and taking home people, waiting staff and most importantly, entertainers. Please save people from having me bang out a few Christmas songs on a guitar.  If you can help, then give Alex a call on 0207 346 6800. 

2. We need a bit of dosh to be able to provide a fab lunch. A donation from you would be fantastic and amazing. Anything we raise beyond providing the meal will go to provide activities over the next year.
