Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Last year on a whim I decided to enter the ballot for the Virgin London Marathon, knowing full well that I was unlikely to get a place due to the sheer number of ballot hopefuls each year.

To my surprise and almost horror, I received the letter in October to say I'm in! Well, it is just as well that I have already competed in the Great South Run twice and the Great North Run, but to double the distance of anything I have ever run before is a daunting prospect, especially since I have been diagnosed with Osteoarthritis in both knees.

However, I felt that it was time to step up to the mark and cross this iconic race off of my bucket list, so here I am.

I am fundraising for St Catherine's Hospice as they are local to where I live, and they provide end of life health care for many local people both young and old. Like all charities, they are always seeking funds, and I felt that it is only fair that a local business such as mine, with many local clients, should support such a worthy cause.

Please give generously and support this cause, and think of me on April 26th running, jogging, walking, hobbling and even crawling to complete the 26miles and 385yards.

Thank you for your donation.
