Story
It’s not just the growing number of rough sleepers. Many more are in the early stages of homelessness – sofa-surfing or living in unsuitable temporary accommodation. This number is set to grow as financial pressures bite and ruin lives & relationships.
Our work includes dealing with diverse and complex issues arising from homelessness, including substance/ alcohol addiction, mental health problems and convictions.
We now provide over 400 bed spaces of supported housing for homeless people. We run a specialist residential care home. We provide non-residential drug services, working with over 1,500 people at any one time. We use sport as a catalyst for recovery, in partnership with local football clubs. We provide employment and training opportunities through social enterprises and other schemes.
As a Trustee, I’ve had the opportunity to admire at first hand how effective we are in turning lives around in Southampton and elsewhere in Hampshire. Please help us create a safer future for vulnerable people by supporting us here!
