Story

I lost my wife Rebecca to cancer of the Adrenal Gland in September 2021. She had been a fit and active woman up until she started to become unwell in July. Unfortunately, by the time we knew something was wrong the cancer had spread agressively, and by the time diagnosis was confirmed, her health had deteriorated to the point that treatment was no longer an option.

During the final few days of Rebecca's life, Cancer Focus NI provided much needed advice and support to myself and my children. I cannot thank them enough for the advice they provided in order to help me prepare the kids for what was coming. Since my wife's passing, Cancer Focus NI continue to support me and, more importantly, the kids dealing with the loss of their mother.

Thank you very much for your donation to Cancer Focus Northern Ireland. Each year Cancer Focus NI supports 6,000 cancer patients, their families and carers across NI. As you know Covid-19 is making life even more traumatic for cancer patients: treatments have been delayed and cancer screening services paused. As a local charity we are 90% dependent on fundraising. This is why we are truly grateful for your support today.Best wishes & thank you again from everyone at Cancer Focus NI.
