Story
In early December my Grandson Joey was born and 10 days later we discovered that Joey had a Life threatening Brain Tumour.
Joey had to go for emergency surgery, a couple of hours after finding the tumour, as it was so big that he wasn’t going to survive if they didn’t operate to remove it. He had a second operation on December 23, and both went well. He then began a chemotherapy course on January 11, which finishes in July 2021.
Myself, my wife, Jean and a couple of family friends have decided to walk 500 miles each to support the charities that have helped Joey and our family through this difficult time. They have all done a great job at the hospital with skill and knowledge founded on the research supported by CCLG.
I am fundraising to raise money for Joeys Journey at CCLG, to help other children like Joey with congenital glioblastoma.
