We fund pioneering research to tackle bowel cancer.

Story

Football is Coming Home to the Field of Dreams that is Longcroft School 3G Pitch!

As some of you will know, our Dad, Clive has to go in to hospital soon for a pretty big op. As possibly the fittest 55 year old in the East Riding, one of only 2 West Ham fans in Beverley and competitive dad who has never knowingly let his sons win at any thing, Ed has come up with a very good idea that will give him his football fix for a couple of months and raise money for a very good cause at the same time.

On Saturday 15th August at 10.30am we will be hosting the first Grady Football Festivalat Longcroft School, Beverley in aid of the Booby Moore Fund, a cause that we have sadly besome all to aware of over the last few months.

The Bobby Moore Fund for Cancer Research UK raises money for research into bowel cancer in memory of the only England captain to lift the World Cup, Bobby Moore who died from the disease in 1993.

To date the Fund has raised over £12 million for dedicated bowel cancer research. The funds are spent on high-quality bowl cancer research carried out by leading scientists working across the UK. The money raised to date has funded over 36 Bobby Moore Research Fellowships and three additional research projects.

As well as giving them your money, it would be great if you could come along (bring your boots). The stars of Beverley Minster FC will be rolling back the years and proving that they still have the skills to pay the bills.

Thanks for reading this,

Rich, Ben, Paul and Ed

Oh - one last thing - Clive doesn't know about the charity bit of the match or that Rich will be there - so if you bump in to him (unlikely for a lot of you), don't tell him. He'll never agree to step on to the pitch if he knows that there is the risk of 15 stone of pure muscle with the skills of Ronaldo and speed of Usain Bolt out classing him.
