Story

Hellooo All!

As you may be aware, I am learning the Cello for Charity!

The background - My dear friend's father was diagnosed with Alzheimer's at the age of 52. Difficult to imagine for some, but true. We're quite a few years on now and I have watched them lovingly and gracefully support him with this debilitating illness. As this wonderful family lives with the heartbreaking challenge of Alzheimer's, I thought, 'It's time to do my part to make their life a little bit easier...'

The challenge - Choose an instrument that I have never played. I have 8 weeks to pass my grade 1 exam with only one lesson, AND learn 1 piece of music to perform with an orchestra on March 1st. Finally, spread the word and raise some money!

The benefits - Dementia awareness is always a good thing. Donating does wonders for the soul. There's nothing like laughing at your friends. Hear some great tunes...or in this case, hear some great tunes reinvented!

The solution - Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Alzheimer's Society gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.

Next step - So please sponsor me now!
