Our college has done a fantastic job making rowing an equal-opportunity experience. Rowing is a kind of a big deal in Cambridge and at Clare Hall you can give it a shot without the barriers of high fees or prior rowing experience. Our team accepts and trains all willing rowers and focuses on personal improvement. And improved we have! Let me tell you... We seem to be a crowd favourite as an underdog/Ms. Congeniality crew that has surpassed all expectation.

Being a part of the women's team this year is without a doubt the best part of my life at Cambridge.

But here's the thing about our boat club:

We're in need of some cash. We've got boats to repair, oars to replace, and race entrance fees to cover. To give you an idea why these expenses occur, the main competition of the year literally involves trying your hardest to run into another boat.
