Story

Hi, as many of you already know in October 2022 I was diagnosed with a brain tumour and epilepsy at the age of 27. Me, my husband and family were completely devastated with the diagnosis. After further MRI scans my neurosurgeon suggested the best option was to have an awake craniotomy surgery to try and remove as much tumour as possible. My operation was booked in for March 2023 but due to junior doctors strikes my operation was cancelled and I ended up having my awake craniotomy in October 2023 which took 6 hours. I was so lucky to have had such a successful surgery and recovery only having a few complications recovering. After recovery and more MRI scans I had the amazing news they had managed to remove all of the tumour and I will just now be monitored in hope nothing changes. I want to donate some money for such an amazing charity that helped me and my family throughout to understand the diagnosis and helping with the stress and devastation that comes with it. I know everyone isn’t as lucky as I was and I will be forever greatful and will always help this charity and hope one day they can find a cure for such a devastating disease. Any donating would be amazing,
