Story

On Sunday 24 April, I'll be taking part in the world's greatest marathon with #TeamPlace2Be. Place2Be is the UK's leading school-based mental health charity, providing support to children, families and school-based staff when they need it most. One in six children and young people now have a diagnosable mental health problem, and many more struggle with challenges from bullying to bereavement.

With the increase in need for mental health support, children and young people may have to wait for support within the NHS. However, charities like Place2Be provide early intervention support in schools to address problems and prevent issues from escalating. Place2Be believe every child should have easy access to mental health support. Whenever they need it.

During and following my university studies, I have worked within schools and NHS services, providing mental health support to children, young people, and families. This has meant working alongside Place2Be and I have seen first-hand the positive impact of being able to provide children with the vital support they need to help them build life-long coping skills and to thrive.

Please help me support Place2Be’s vital work, and together we can make a real difference to children's mental health and ensure that children don’t have to face mental health problems alone.

Let the challenge begin!
