Story
In 2015 I finally fell pregnant after a number of infertility hurdles. I passed my 12 and 20 week scan with flying colours however sadly at 35 weeks I went to the hospital with reduced fetal movements and my world came crashing down when I was told ‘I am so sorry, there is no heartbeat.’ Instead of planning my baby’s homecoming I planned his funeral.
Over the following years I have strived to raise awareness and money for various stillbirth charities. I was fortunate enough to receive the Tommy’s Award for Courage in 2017 and I am in awe of the research and work they do including assisting them with their #sleeponside campaign after research into sleep positions in your final trimester.
And so after my second rainbow baby I completed the Couch to 5km and after a few more running challenges I have now signed up to a half marathon which for those who know me is a CRAZY challenge and a big achievement so wish me luck as I will NEED it!
Their work is vital in order to raise awareness of baby loss but also try and find causes and solutions to prevent more people going through such a devastating loss. You can help by donating just a few pounds.
