On Sunday 29th May, I‘ll be running the Edinburgh Half Marathon to raise money for HCPT - Group 133.

Lourdes has had a immeasurable impact on me, particularly when I was younger and helped me through the most difficult years of my life, so giving children the opportunity to go to Lourdes is very important to me and to our group.

Who are HCPT Group 133?

We are a charity which takes disabled, disadvantaged or socially deprived children on holiday at Easter time. The children we take are from our local Liverpool communities and spend 6 days on a pilgrimage holiday to the shrine of Lourdes in France.

Why?

Our mission is twofold – to show children who have never been on a holiday what a week of fun and laughter in a “family” group feels like.

We also provide rest bite for parents and carers, allowing them to take some “me” time.

Cost:

It costs £900 per child in order to give the children the holiday of a lifetime.

Group 133 fundraise throughout the year to raise the considerable funds for the trip. We hold a number of fundraisers throughout the year to help get the children to Lourdes (no child pays for this holiday) So each fundraiser is vital.
