This walk is being done in memory of my mother who sadly passed away on 25th April 2012 from heart failure. Douglas Macmillan Hospice were extremely supportive to my mother in her time of need, they gave her the opportunity to be among friends who understood what she was going through & enjoy Wednesday mornings making arts & crafts, and when it all got too much for my mother there was always a bed for her there & caring nurses at hand. They would even supply a camp bed so that me & my dad could stay over with her when we missed her.

These people made those last few months as easier as a difficult situation like that could be, with love, care & support, and there will never be any possible way I could thank them enough, but lets start by raising as much money as possible so they can continue to help those in need.
