Many of you will know that raising awareness of meningitis has been important to April and I since our beautiful God daughter Clara passed away from this awful disease. April has done fantastic things in the past to support the charity, to raise awareness, to ensure our memories of her burn brightly, and to show our dear friend Claire how much we miss her. 

I have always supported April, and often strong-armed friends and colleagues into supporting her too. But this time I've decided I need to do it myself. April will be supporting me by running with me. April now loves running, and is pretty handy at it. Without my bike, I'm like Samson without his hair!!!! 

I can't compete with April on the amount of impact I might have, or the amount of money I might raise. But she inspires me to do what I can. I can match her for how much I miss Clara, for how often I think of her, and how much life is a little bit darker without her. She was the first little person who liked me instead of being scared, how wise she was!! 

Please give what you can. Please make sure you know the signs and symptoms of meningitis. Please never, ever, stop talking about and remembering the people you miss. X
