Story
Almost 950,000 people live with dementia in the UK. This number is set to rise to over 1 million by 2030.
Beth’s grandad fought a long battle with dementia before we lost him in August. It was extremely difficult to see such a kind soul be stripped of many of his life memories, causing so much confusion and slowly losing who he was.
In his memory we’ll be raising money for the Alzheimer’s Society to aid in their work to help people suffering from this awful illness.
In July 2024, we will be attempting the UK Three Peaks Challenge. We’ll have to hike up the tallest peaks in England, Scotland and Wales across a 48 hour period. Although this will push us both outside our comfort zones, my grandad always inspired us to get out and live our lives, so this challenge seems the most fitting way to honour his memory.
We would really appreciate any support, even the smallest amount can make a huge difference to those suffering and their families.
We will be updating the page regularly if you want to follow our training leading up to the challenge. Thank you x
