Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I am planning to cycle around Ireland - 1200 miles in hopefully 12 days.

I intend to leave Bangor on the last weekend in May 2011 and travel all the way around Ireland until I end up back in Bangor again approx 12 days later.

I will be doing the journey completely on my own with no support (other than a few spare inner tubes of course!!) My wife thinks I am a little crazy, and she is probably right, but I feel: nothing ventured nothing gained! or as Dell boy would say "ee who dares wins Rodney"!!

I thought it would be nice to use this venture to try and raise some money for Marie Curie Cancer Care, aswell as achieve a person goal too. I will be funding the trip myself and all monies raised will go directly to Marie Curie- it will not fund me (or a swish trailer for me to rest in!!)

I appreciate that there are a number of very worthy events raising money for other worthy causes, however any monies raised or donated would be greatly received as this charity is close to my heart.
