Story
Just over 6 years ago in 2016 my step daughter was expecting twins. However they decided to come 10 weeks early. My step daughter attended Torbay hospital and they transfered her to Exeter RD&E where the twins were born. Fearne and Freya were very small and the hospital noticed there was an issue with Freyas blood oxygen levels which at the time was an undiagnosed heart defect. Freya was rushed to Bristol whilst Fearne stayed in the special care unit in Exeter meaning mum and dad had babies 70 miles apart.
Cots for tots provided safe and understanding accomodation at Bristol hospital for their parents which enabled them to be close. This takes enormous stress away from parents at such a traumatic time.
Freya was very ill and only stayed with us for 6 days. Even after such a short time she touched our hearts and filled them with love.
In addition to accomodation cots for tots also raise money for vital equipment for the neonatal unit to help give babies the special care they need.
Without the support of cots for tots what was a terrible time for our family would have been even more unbearable.
Cots for tots is run on charitable donations and need every penny raised to continue helping premature and sick babies and their families.
Please help me support this fantastic charity.
