Story

Danny McCabe was my friend. I was so lucky to have known him for over 10 years. On 25th August 2020 Danny sadly passed away after a brave fight with a brain tumour. Danny was one of the strongest, fittest and more importantly one of the kindest friends I have ever known. Even into his late 50's you would still see him blasting around the 4 vallees on one ski being chased by his Snow Wolves!

The Trinity Hospice in Blackpool looked after him so well while he was unwell. If you can, please donate to this great charity.

On 7th August I shall be taking part in the Tour des stations Ultrafondo road cycling event in his memory here in Valais, Switzerland. It is 242km with an elevation gain of 8848m (the height of Mount Everest!) I am hoping to achieve it under 16 hours but the time does not really matter. Finishing the race will be satisfying and a real challenge. I know that I will have Dan in my head the whole way round telling me to hurry up!

RIP Dan/Soldier

Thank you everyone for all your support

Gordon
