Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
I decided almost 2 years ago that I was going to hike the Appalachian trail. The Trail came first - I am hiking the Trail for me, it was only after a while that I thought "Hey I can raise money for charity".
So, this is my one moment in time, my shot at nobility, doing something for someone else that is probably never going to be recognised. It is - in Judaism - called a Mitzvah. An ultimate good, giving something good to someone i do not know and who will never know me.
I do not have cancer, my children do not have cancer.
But there is cancer in my larger family. My friends have been affected by this disease. And we can do something about it.
Every week there are new findings, greater understanding. Every year research has led to cures, better care, extended life and improved the standard of life for cancer survivors.
Now, I cannot do research but I can hike! Through my hiking I can help to give the tools to those who have the brains, the skill, the insight. So, I am doing the walking - What are you going to do?
Not everyone can give - I can't! I have no money - but I do what I can. I would ask you to do what you can - give what you can give. If you cannot give money then give me your support and email this to everyone you know.
You can follow my hike just google ukathiker
