Just 75.00 for 10 women to be screened
Breast cancer remains the most common cancer among women in Bangladesh. Seven of every ten cancer deaths are caused by breast cancer. Yet most women aren't aware of testing, or simply can't access it, and those who can often face poor and improper screening. Without awareness, there is little chance of early detection, not only decreasing the success rate of treatment, but also making treatment unaffordable for many women of impoverished communities. Like breast cancer Cervical cancer is also taking lives too early and painfully yet preventable by a simple screening.
Global One has procured the first mobile Mammography Unit in Bangladesh with the two central aims: firstly, to improve breast and cervical cancer awareness, and secondly to provide free breast and cervical cancer screenings. The Mammography Unit travels around Bangladesh promoting early detection and giving poor and rural women access to healthcare.
It's really simple: maximise survival and minimise costs.
It's your donations that keep the wheels of the Mammography Unit in motion, paying for doctors, nurses and the vital X-ray equipment. We target to screen over 6,000 women a year as breast and cervical cancer continue to take lives for too early, we will continue to fight this battle with your support.
