Story

In 2021 Róisin Thérèse and Toby Saltonstall who run the Dreadnought in Leith created the Pride Bridge Beer Garden in response to homophobic graffiti on their pub and transphobic attitudes in their area.

The Pride Bridge was created to provide a warm welcoming space for the entire community to enjoy. Unfortunately in December 2021 barriers were put in place closing access to customers with no plan in place to reopen. As of this week the bridge is partially reopen and the Good Time Running Club want to raise awareness of the great work the Dreadnought does.

We’ll be running a 5k run on Friday 5th of August in bright colourful clothes to represent the colours of the Pride flag. All are welcome to join and we are hoping to raise awareness and money for Equality Network who are doing important work fighting in association with Scottish Trans Alliance.

“All our campaigning work is funded by donations. Its with your support that we fought against section 28, for marriage equality and trans rights. Thank you for your support.”
