This week is Mental Health Awareness Week. The theme of the week is 'loneliness'. Loneliness has affected so many of us, especially during the Covid-19 lockdowns. Loneliness and poor mental health are interconnected and can have a negative impact on poor physical health too.
We promote active travel and experiences in nature in our destinations of the UK and Ireland as a way to support and improve mental and physical health of our guests. Something as simple as an act of walking together can create a lasting sense of connection and togetherness.
Would you like to join us this week in our #MoveAndMindChallenge to tackle loneliness and improve our mental and physical health? The steps are very simple:
* Practice any active movement experience during this week 9-15 May 2022
* Make a video of your experience
* Post your video on Instagram/ Facebook with the hashtag #MoveAndMindChallenge and tag @goodcausetravel in your post
* Donate if you can to @mentalhealthfoundation via our fundraising link. Please participate even if you can't donate and please share our post to involve as many people as possible
Our team will take Friday off to move and look after our mental health. And we will share our videos with you at the end of the week!
