Story
Gonzalo is taking part in Grow a Mo for Meso this November to raise awareness and funds for Mesothelioma UK.
November is a well-known month of fundraising for men's health issues. Mesothelioma is a rare cancer which predominantly affects men - 75% of those diagnosed with Meso in the US and 83% of those diagnosed in the UK are male. This campaign was created out of the need to raise awareness that asbestos is still out there in homes, places of work and schools and is a threat to everyone.
As you will know, Gonzalo already has a beard! And he's not a real fan of beard growth. But for the month of November, Gonzalo has pledged not to cut his beard to raise money for Mesothelioma UK and Mesowarriors like his wife, Nat, as part of the Grow a Mo for Meso 2020 campaign.
So...will his beard go curly? Will he look even more badgerlike? Will he love it or hate it? Will he be able to sculpt it into interesting shapes? And will he keep it at the end?! Watch this space to find out. Oh, and any beard grooming tips are more than welcome! We'll be posting updates as things progress...
Mesothelioma UK offers a completely free service to patients and carers and relies entirely on donations to continue its work - so all donations however big or small are welcomed to raise money for the charity closest to our hearts. We realise we've fundraised already this year, and we were blown away by how much we raised then. This time, we're well aware it's close to Christmas and funds are tight, so really, even if you can just spare a fiver, that's all we're hoping for!
And don't forget, if you're a UK taxpayer you can Gift Aid your donation increasing it by a further 25% at no extra cost to you.
Let's Grow That Mo!!
