Story
To celebrate 125 years of the RLSS UK and heighten awareness of the risk associated with activities that take place at the water’s edge (as opposed to intentionally going into water) two hardy but amateur anglers are setting about the challenge of catching 125 lbs of coarse fish in a single day.
Alongside the challenge Darren and Adrian will be distributing water Safety Messages/Leaflets to other users of the banks and waterways.
Rules of engagement:
- The fish may be caught over any 24 hour period in 2016. The anglers may attempt the challenge as many times as is necessary over the year
- Both anglers may fish at separate venues, but the challenge must be undertaken on the same day and each must contribute to the catch.
- The catch(es) must be made on the UK mainland.
- Weights must be verified by the other team member and where required with reasonable photographic evidence.
- Each angler is restricted to the use of a single line and hook at any one time.
