Story
Hi, my name is Warren, I'm 16 and I'm from North Baddesley near Romsey.
Right now I am supporting Caudwell Children, who are backing my quest to keep on playing the sport I love - Golf!
As you may already be aware, I have autism, dyspraxia and dyslexia - collectively these conditions affect my balance and long term memory. I have been competing for over 6 years, and I currently have a handicap of nine. I play at the Salisbury and South Wilts Club and my proudest achievement is representing my country at disabled golf.
Despite my success though, I'm worried my playing days may be over, as my Mum, dawn, explains ''For the last two years, Warren has been playing with clubs that are not suitable for him. He's now over six feet tall and his original clubs are no longer the correct size. He's started to get frustrated and I don't want it to put him off.''
The nature of my disability means I require bespoke clubs to suit my needs, so the heads need to be brighter and oversized, the shaft should be extendable and the grips designed to fit perfectly.
Eddy Rawlings, a PGA Professional, is always on hand to give me a boost, ''Warren is a great lad, who loves the game that has given him so much confidence, stability, sportsmanship and sense of fun. Custom-fit clubs will help improve his physical well-being, co-ordination and balance.''
However, full set of irons and woods come in at a staggering £2,700, and this is money my family simply don't have.
I am urging the public and business community across Romsey and beyond to support my appeal all they can. I play golf every day and love being a junior ambassador for the disabled golf association.
