Story
In July of this year 2011, 31 Squadron will be deploying to Afghanistan to support the Ground troops with our Air Cover.
To keep us busy we are aiming to cover 31,000 miles by either running, cycling or rowing. That's the distance to Kandahar and back, going around the world in the process. We are aiming to beat the previous record of 24,000 miles set by 14 Sqn.
We are asking you to help us raise £31,000 for our three chosen charities: Tickets for Troops, Help for Heroes and Epilepsy Action.
Please give as much as you can and check our team page for progress reports.
Thanks
Update after week 1, We have so far completed 2066 miles towards our goal, no mean feat after the first week of getting used to the altitude , heat and all of the travelling around. I have personally done 40 miles so far.
Please keep the donations coming, every little helps.
Thanks
Update after week 3, We have reached 7500 miles, we are ahead of our target rate and hope to smash the 31,000 miles. We have just topped £10,000 in donations too, we still need your help to get us to the magic £31,000.
Please donate as much or as little as you can.
Thanks
