I was lucky to be and have some great experiences as a Brownie, Guide and Ranger including two international trips to Australia and the Netherlands. I now volunteer as a unit leader for the 12th York Brownies and absolutely love giving back and sharing my experiences with my Brownies (aged 7-10)

I have been selected to represent Girlguiding on a three week GOLD (Guiding Overseas Linked with Development) trip to the Maldives in July 2019 where along with my team of 6, I will be helping to improve the external image of the Maldives Girl Guides Association, help in the retention of current leaders, develop the Young Leader section and work with the young girls to develop confidence, leadership and decision making.

This trip to the Maldives will be a fantastic opportunity to pass on some of the skills I've built up over my time as a volunteer and help the development of Guiding across the world. 

In order to take part in this trip I need to fundraise at least £1850 to cover my expenses and training materials. I will be using this page to update friends and family on my progress in the run up to next summer's trip!
