Story
GO GIRLIES TEAM was going to Ride the Night on the 23rd May 2020 but DUE TO CORONAVIRUS this was postponed so Fi and I decided to do the great 100k London to Brighton instead. A great ride and still for the same great causes.
Everyone knows someone who is dealing with or coping with the aftermath of Cancer. For Me it’s a particularly hard time as I, 7 months after loosing my Dad lost my Mum to Cancer in May 2020. It’s hard and not a day goes by without me chatting to them, but she’s happy, she’s now with Dad, both watching over Us and I hear my Dads words of guidance coming through more than ever.
And Fiona, she’s had her own battle. Her story is a positive, courageous one, not only has she fought, conquered and survived the dreaded ‘C’ but her husband has to. Taking part is her way of saying a massive thank you and giving back a little to all those that helped them.
The fiona and I have been friends for 23 years and when Fi asked Me, an experienced cyclist, to help her (a somewhat novice cyclist) achieve this 100km cycle I jumped at the chance. Together we will cross that finish line and we’ll help each other through with grit, pain and positivity and of course training. I do love a challenge and it gives me a distraction and focus plus cycling releases a happy drug inside of me. Let’s keep rolling!
We’re serious about achieving this iconic ride, 100k all the way from London to Brighton and we need your help! Please sponsor us, keep us motivated and raise some money for a great cause. .
Thank you in advance and for your kindness, Dana & Fiona xx
