Story
For several years, the Goddard School Mooresville has collected food and supplies for our annual Souper Bowl food drive for FeedNC/The Mooresville Soup Kitchen. With the COVID protocols and restrictions we are experiencing this year, we wanted to change things up. And this year we want to do even more for FeedNC!
We chose Carts for A Cause because it is a an easy way for you, our families, to be involved and set an great example of how to give back to our community. Each cart provides $200 worth of supplemental groceries. You can contribute to part of a cart or you can contribute the whole cart! Our goal is to contribute $5,000 by February 28th. #GODDARDTOGETHER!
The value of a cart of groceries is $200 but what this food provides to a neighbor in need is so much more. It is an ingredient for a recipe, a meal for a family, toiletries, a lunch for a child to take to school, and a snack for home. At FeedNC (formerly The Mooresville Soup Kitchen), FEED stands for Food, Education, Essentials, and Dignity.
We love to have fun so let's have a blast filling carts! The Goddard School Mooresville has challenged every classroom to fill as many carts as they can to help feed families in need. The class with the most carts wins a Pizza party! If we hit our $5,000 goal, the entire school gets a Ice Cream Party!
Let's get this party started! Join us and fill a cart because it takes more than a meal to end hunger!
