My good friend Sean Spencer is affected by Limb Girdle Muscular Dystrophy. I've known Sean for over 8 years now, but I feel like we have been friends much longer than this. Even in the short time I have known Sean his life has changed massively because of his condition, so I know the effect Muscular Dystrophy has on people. That's why I'm going to run the 2022 Great North Run.

Muscular Dystrophy UK is the charity for the 70,000 children and adults living with muscle-wasting conditions in the UK. There's currently no cure, and it many cases, it limits lives. MDUK do vital work in funding pioneering research into treatments and cures as well as providing vital information, advice, resources and support for individuals and families living with these conditions.
